About
EPIC Research was born from a simple belief: that new ideas in rehabilitation and recovery can emerge from community need, lived experience, and practice-based exploration — not only from established institutions. We are focused on exploring human-centred, animal-free approaches that may help support people living with traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions.
Our founder, Matt J Maran (INRH, NCH), brings together twenty years of hands-on clinical experience with established credentials and a deep commitment to ethical methodology. His journey through remedial biomechanics, fascial fitness instruction under renowned experts like Dr. Schleip and Tom Myers, and direct work with brain injury patients at Headway has shaped a unique perspective on treatment possibilities.
Through his Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma and EMDR practitioner tainings, he has established a strong theoretical and practical foundation for his work. He continues to study neuropsychology, which informs his approach, and maintains active membership within professional research communities.
